This week is a mix of Alison Roman & Molly Baz. I am a newer fan of Alison's, mainly because of my loyalty to Molly and only having the capacity for one Bon Appetite alumni at a time, BUT now that I am on the bandwagon I really appreciate her ability to make simple ingredients come together to become supremely tasty. The recipes I chose are from her cookbook "Nothing Fancy", which funnily enough takes meals that I would say are objectively fancy but breaks them down with simple ingredients. These dishes are meant to feed a crowd, so expect servings for 4-6 (read: good for dinner parties, leftovers, or 6' 5'' husbands with massive appetites).
The random Molly recipes are from her subscription, "The Club", so apologies if you don't have access, but I just had to make this one. If you are like me and have loved her cookbooks I would recommend graduating to "The Club" where she drops a new recipe of two every week!

.5 cup full-fat greek yogurt
wedge of pecorino or parmesan
4 tbs unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream or creme fraiche
1 egg
1 red onion
1 hothouse or 4 persian cucumbers
1 lemon
1 bunch cilantro
10 garlic cloves
1 bunch chives
1 bunch parsley
1 large shallot
1.5 lbs sungold or cherry tomatoes
1 bunch mint
1 yellow onion
1 lb fresh mushrooms (cremini)
4 cups fresh greens (kale)
1 bunch fresh terragon
1.5 lbs ground meat (pork, lamb, beef, or turkey)
2.5 lbs bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
3 tbs tahini
1 tbs toasted sesame oil
.5 tsp ground sumac
3 tbs white or black sesame seeds
olive oil
salt pepper
2 tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp hot smoked paprika
1 tsp red pepper flakes
.25 cup white wine vinegar
1 tbs canola oil
.5 cup all- purpose flour
3 cups low sodium chicken broth
crusty bread of choice
1 package of puff pastry
Spicy Pork Meatballs - 7/10
Will be making these again - I think I was a bit heavy handed on the white wine vinegar and this dish may have deserved an 8 otherwise...
I used pork as the meat base
Citrusy Cucumber Salad - 7/10
Gets better over time as it all sits in the dressing -> keeps really well in the fridge
Crispy Broccoli & Chickpea Bowl - 8/10
Didn't get a pretty pic of this one, but the flavors are off the chart good
Amazing veg option for lunch or casual dinner
Egg Salad Sando - 8/10
Can't beat it, but definitely needs to be supplemented with a side to be filling

This one went unpictured bc I attempted homemade pie crust and failed miserably... Pie Crust 1 - Claire 0
Pie Crust atrocity aside this dish was phenomenal in flavor & I will be making again
